Welcome to the School Of Tech Academy. This is intended as a practical guide to explain how Academy programmes are constructed and run at Accenture and Next Generation Engineering. It's aimed particularly at those taking on Academy Lead or Instructor roles, and anyone who will be creating and delivering content for an Academy of any sort. It's also useful for those simply wanting to understand how the Academy works in more detail.
What is the School Of Tech and the Academy?
The School Of Tech Futures, to give it's full name, or "SoT", is an Accenture-wide initiative to give our new starters a fantastic upskilling at the start of their careers. We've got more details on the about us page.
What is the Academy?
The School Of Tech Academy is our career entry path into Next Generation Engineering (and for Accenture UK). Currently running several programmes per year, the Academy supports those starting their career as consultants with trining ion full-stack engineering, data engineering, and the more-non technical consultancy skills.
We also partner with the global employment charity Generation to jointly deliver a Data Engineering programme, helping young people start careers as Data Engineers. The Generation Data Academies are held in a number of different cities across the UK, with multiple programmes running throughout the year.
To staff all of the above programmes we're reliant on Next Generation Engineering and Accenture employees wanting to get involved and take on the role of instructors for the duration of a programme, or beyond! If you're interested please get in contact with any of the School Of Tech team to find out more.
