Getting involved

Introduction

As it was known, the old Infinity Works Academy is now part of the School Of Tech since merging with REPL and Accenture Software.

We're very proud of the School Of Tech Academy and all the programmes we provide. While it might sound like a cliché, we couldn't run them without the broader involvement of everyone at Next Generation Engineering and the wider Accenture. We do need people to get involved and help out in several ways.

The most valuable role we encourage people to try their hand at is that of an Academy Instructor for any of our courses. The instructor role is pivotal to delivering a great programme; having someone with excellent knowledge and skills in their subject and the energy and enthusiasm to share this with others brings the programmes to life and makes them such a valuable and memorable experience for the learners. While the role of an instructor differs from what you may experience day-to-day as a software engineer or consultant, there is a great deal of overlap, and trying your hand at being an instructor will hugely enhance your consultancy skills, too. Teaching and coaching are at the heart of what we do as consultants, so it is no surprise that many consultants are, or become, great instructors. If you would like to find out more about how to become an instructor, please read our why become an instructor page.

There are plenty of other ways to get involved with the Academy programme without becoming an instructor. For example, Associate Career Mentors are also hugely important to the success of the programme.
